Visual novel A Good Librarian Like a Good Shepherd heading to Switch in Japan

When he was young, Kyoutarou wanted to read all the magic books in the world, but they were all in the magic library. Someone told him that to get there, he must be kind to everyone and bring happiness to their hearts. He received a bookmark, which was his entrance ticket to the magic library.

One day while heading to school, he received a text from the ‘shepherd’ (hitsujikai) telling him that his fate was going to change. He had a vision of an accident at the tram station and helped prevent any injuries by calling away a nearby girl. That girl, Tsugumi, later came to the Library Club room, which he was a member of, to thank him and also to ask for his help to make Shiomi Academy more fun. It seemed that she had also received a text from the shepherd, who is rumoured to appear before people who try their best to grant their wishes. One by one, other students also join their group with the shepherd’s guidance.

A Good Librarian Like a Good Shepherd is hitting Switch in Japan on July 26th, 2018. The title costs ¥7,344, and is a port of a PS Vita title, and includes the fan disc/spin-off content that came with the Vita version.

I liked the anime. I wonder what the game looks like...

[EDIT] uh... Maybe a bit too fanservicey for me. u_u

I love visual novels and don't mind fanservice at all, but what the heck is that title?

Well, in that game world, there are a big library in a pocket dimension that contain knowledge about all that will happen, and why, and how to make it possible. There are people, that call themselves The Shepherd, that use that library to bring humanity to their best future, by helping key people to make great historical discovery or events. One day, the main character get a mail by someone with the username "The Shepherd" that warn him that there will be a train that will derail at school and to save [insert the girl's name]. This start a big wave of mails predicting the future. The MC also spend most of his time in the school library, in the book club.
But yeah, the title refer to the fact that a "Good Shepherd" in that case would need to be a "Good Librarian" to be able to quickly find the right books in their infinite library to make sure everything in the world goes according to plan..

Also, I have a high tolerance for fan service, but as the Anime had none (? or almost none, it's a bit old), all these panty flash in the trailer/game seems overly gratuitous and unnecessary... and many of them are also just forced.

I see. Thank you for that explanation. It sounds interesting. I might check it out.

Uuugh... I just got home from work and I'm sleepy. xD Sorry! (I'm also not a native speaker... but usually I'm way better than that. Hell, I can't even see what was the mistakes in most of the ones you quoted.) >_>
[EDIT] ok ok, I see why, most of these are missing "s"es because of second person. I'm always bad with these. >_> Uh... I may come back tomorrow to fix them, I just can't get my head around this tonight.

Heheh, it's alright. I professionally check visual novels for mistakes like these, and I think the mention of a visual novel triggered this instinct of checking for errors within me =P

And I wouldn't worry about it. Everything was still 100% understandable. I was just wondering if something was up, because I don't recall seeing these errors from you before!
